My life in the water began when I moved to coastal Southern California, at age four. Besides endless hours playing in the beautiful Pacific, junior lifeguards in San Clemente, teaching swimming lessons in the backyard, lifeguarding at community pools and competitive swimming all kept me in the H2O through college. In the later 80's it was windersurfing, then I got into surfing about a decade ago, and finally jumped into StandUp Paddling in January of 2010.
I bought my first SUP at a warehouse sale in the first week of 2010 and jumped into my first race a couple of weeks later in San Diego ... and I haven't looked back since!
Stand Up Paddling
If you are a lover of water, stand up paddling offers unlimited opportunites. The sport is experiencing phenominal growth worldwide as is one of the most versitile and accesible water sports ever. I am so grateful to find a sport where I can be on the water, meet incredible people and be competitive in my late 40's. My goal is to be competitive as long as possible and to play a role in helping this sport continue to grow in a positive direction
... with Aloha.
